I am 50, have a strong commercial background and have lived in New Barnet for almost 13 years with my partner and my two children.

I care passionately about the community and for the last two years have been a supporter of the Save New Barnet Campaign, helping to stop the inappropriate superstore developments by Asda and Tesco.

Living and working in the East Barnet ward keeps me in touch on a day to day basis with what matters to local people.

If I am elected:

• I will bring a common sense approach to Council spending;
• I will battle for better facilities for children and teenagers;
• I will demand changes to the Local Planning Development Framework to ensure that New and East Barnet are not turned into a high rise development;
• I will work to ensure that elderly residents are given a better deal and more respect from the Council;
• I will simply act in the best interests of the community  - full stop.
