Anti-social behaviour by a minority of youngsters can be a problem.  At present the problem seems to be focused mainly on East Barnet Village and on Church Hill Park, probably reflecting the lack of facilities for young people within our area.  Unfortunately, Barnet Council has one of the lowest per capita expenditures on young people in the whole of the UK.

In a recent survey, The Big Barnet Poll, carried out by ComRes on behalf of Premier Radio and Jesus House, it identified that 94% of residents in Barnet believe that it is failry or very important to address the issue of anti-social behaviour in Barnet. However, in the same poll, 37% of residents said Barnet Council was either fairly or very ineffective at addresing these problems and a further 14% were unsure. This suggests that much more could be done by the Council to address the problems of anti-social behaviour.
